One of two photographs of J. E. Boehm presented by J. P. Mayall to Queen Victoria and the Prince of Wales in 1891. The second photograph, described as "Sculptor Edgar Boehm pictured seated in his studio, holding drawing on his lap. Various busts/sculptures in the room, together with papers/drawings on tables and on the floor," is presumably an enlarged print of the photograph published as a photogravure in Artists at Home.
